Created in 1885 by a pharmacist by the name of Charles Alderton it was actually first ordered by asking for a Waco in reference to its creation happening in Waco, Texas.

Dr Pepper has three different owners making it a unique brand. In the United States it is owned by Keurig-Dr Pepper, in Canada by Pepsi Co and in Europe by Coca-Cola.

Is Dr Pepper's Caffeine Content Considered High?

Dr Pepper's 42 mg of caffeine per can is relatively low for a caffeinated beverage. In compression your average coffee has between 90 and 120 mg per 12 ounce cup.

Dr Pepper's flavor profile can be described as peppery to minty and fruity.

Is Dr Pepper's Sugar Content Considered High?

According to Heart.org, the average adult should consume no more than 30-40 grams of sugar per day. Since Dr Pepper has 39 grams in just one can, drinking more than one a day is not considered a healthy option and can lead to weight gain and other sugar related health issues.
