Our Chiapas Reserve is a single origin, medium-dark roast coffee with sweet, woody notes of hazelnut and slight hints of chocolate.
On the Guatemalan border, in the Sierra Madre Mountain range lies the state of Chiapas. Coffee farmers there grow what is known as Café de Altura (Altitude Coffee). The 100% Arabica coffee grown there is harvested at a height of up to 1,800 meters above sea level (slightly higher than the elevation of Denver, Colorado). Proximity to the equator and rich volcanic soils produce beans that are less bitter, with a hint of sweetness.
One 12 ounce bag of ground coffee for easy brewing.
