What is the caffeine content of Café Bustelo Coffee?

Café Bustelo Coffee will average 12.5 mg of caffeine per ounce for a total of 150 mg of caffeine in a standard 12 ounce mug of coffee when using their ground coffee.

The caffeine content is based on brewing done with a French Press or drip brewer. If you are using their Keurig K Cups you will likely get a lower caffeine content due to the style of brewing.

At 12.5 mg of caffeine per brewed ounce and 150 mg in a standard 12 ounce mug the caffeine content of this coffee is slightly higher than other grocery store coffee brands but still considered to be moderate.

Café Bustelo does not indicate on their packaging what type of coffee beans they use but like most espresso style roast a blend of Robusta and Arabica beans is most likely.

Robusta is often used in espresso style coffee roast due to it's higher caffeine content.

The actual coffee when brewed and consumed black will not have any measurable sugar and just 2 calories. The added sugar and calorie content will come from the creamer, flavoring and added sugar thrown into the cup.
